Featured in a wedding magazine – Wedding Essentials

I just bought a new summer issue of Wedding Essentials magazine. Chantell and Adam’s wedding that I shot last September got featured in Wedding Essentials! Congrats, Chantell and Adam! You are a very beautiful couple!
Chantell and Adam had a 2-day wedding. Hindu ceremony (West Indian culture) on Saturday and outdoors ceremony in a cozy garden (Nova Scotian/French English culture) on Sunday. I hope to tell more details and show more photos from this amazing wedding later. Meanwhile I’d like to show some spreads from the magazine.
1. In their Fashion Passion section, Wedding Essentials magazine shows beautiful dresses, check this section out, if you’re still looking for a wedding dress. There are some really beautiful dresses there! My photo on this spread is only the one on the right-hand side. Chantell looks gorgeous, doesn’t she?

2. In the section “to have & to hold” you can not only see the photos from the wedding but also read everyone’s unique love story! I think Chantell and Adam’s story is very lovely!

5. This is what the summer issue looks like, if you’d like to go and buy it.

Horseshoe Bend, Arizona

As I mentioned earlier, after WPPI in Las Vegas we rented a yellow mustang and took off to see the Grand Canyon. As we planned our trip, we also decided to make a short detour and go up north to the town of Page. Horseshoe Bend is located several kilometres away from the town. We stayed there overnight to shoot stars at night and Horseshoe Bend at sunrise. Beautiful place!

2. As the sun is rising, the colours are changing fast. It is a perfect place to watch the sunrise.

3. Don’t these shots look like they are from a documentary film, shot from a helicopter? :)

5. This is how this place looks in the daytime. Horseshoe Bend is really big, look at those tiny boats cruising down there!

St. Lawrence market engagement session

When I first met Sarah and Albert, I knew we would have so much fun together. Albert has an amazing sense of humour and I just loved Sarah’s reaction to Albert’s jokes. They are so great together!
Among several locations I suggested to Sarah and Albert, they chose St. Lawrence market and it turned out to be a perfect setting for their engagement session. We spent several hours in the area taking pictures, having fun and trying not to get too cold as it was getting darker. Great times!
Here’s a short “table of contents”:

1. Flatiron building was in our list as well!

6. When I saw the wall with these amazing paintings, I got an idea of getting a photo where we would pretend it’s all real. Look at this cute dog there!

12. We also got some shots inside:

16. Lots of fun together! A beautifully blurred backfround here adds a unique urban feel to this picture:

18. And finally our last picture from the session. We had several minutes of the “right” time to get this great shot with the blue sky before it gets completely dark.

Yellow Mustang

Since we had two more days after WPPI before our departure, we decided to travel to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon. I’ll be posting more pictures from Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon later. We also took our time to capture our car under Arizona sky.

Exposure time is 45 minutes, the car was lit with a flashlight.

I couldn’t miss a chance to get a photo of myself with this car :)

Emily and Dave – married!

What a wonderful wedding I photographed several weeks ago. Emily and Dave are a lovely couple and I enjoyed every minute with them during their engagement session and the wedding. When I met their parents on the wedding day, it felt like I met one big loving family. I was honoured to be part of such a warm wedding. The reception was held at Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club‎.

The boys had lots of fun playing with the clubs, at some point I think they even forgot we were actually taking pictures!

Emily and Dave – engagement session

Emily and Dave had their engagement sessions in Oakville and Toronto. Among some serious shots we also got some funny ones :)

I love taking pictures at sunset using extra lighting equipment. The photos with CN tower in the background look fantastic!
